This page describes the management modes of (hereafter referred to as website) as to the processing of users personal data.

The IT systems and software procedures collect, as they operate this website, some personal data whose transmission is implied within internet communication protocols.

This information is not meant to be associated to a specific user but, by its nature, might enable identification of an individual user through processing and combinations of data held by third parties.

  • Possibly, number of clicks


These data are used with the sole purpose of collecting anonymous statistics on the use of the website and check its proper operation and will be deleted soon after processing. The data may be used to ascertain Responsibility in case of potential computer crimes against the site.

Data supplied voluntarily by the user

Using this website, sending emails to the addresses provided on an optional, explicit and voluntary basis and filling the dedicated forms, involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address and personal data necessary to provide the service and/or answers to the queries, as well as any other potential data included in the message (and relevant attachments) or dedicated forms.

Data will be processed in IT and digital transmission format, in order to provide the required service and/or answers to the queries.


Why do we collect this information?

We collect this information in order to:

  • Develop, tailor and improve our Services based on the preferences, experiences and common or individual difficulties encountered by Visitors and Users;
  • Process your application, that is implement pre-contractual measures undertaken upon your request;
  • Comply with legal obligation to which we are subject;

Who do we share your information with?


We might share your information with third parties (or let them access your information) only according to below modes or cases:


Third parties services


Cosmi collaborates different suppliers of selected services that integrate, facilitate and improve our own services.


These are hosting and co-location server services, communication, IT security, invoicing and payment processing, web analysis, session recording and remote access services, content suppliers and legal / financial consultants.


Those Third Parties may receive or access our Users’ personal Information, fully or partially, according to their particular roles and purposes with the aim of facilitating and improving our Services; they may use it only for this purpose.


Social Media features


Our website may include some Social Media features and Widgets, that is the Facebook “Like” and “Share” button or other interactive mini-programs.

These Social Media features may collect information such as the User’s IP address or the page that is being visited on our site and might install a cookie to allow the correct functioning.


Social Media features are hosted by Third parties. User interaction with these parties are regulated by their own policy and not by Cosmi policy.


Compliance with legal obligations


Cosmi may disclose or allow access to User’s Personal Information in virtue of legal obligations such as a subpoena, a court case, a search warrant, a court order, or pursuant to applicable laws should it believe in good faith that the request is motivated by law, with or without prior notification to the User.


What is the legal basis for data processing?



Personal data processing may be carried out to guarantee the rights and freedoms of the interested party, on the basis of some assumptions of lawfulness, including the need to perform a contract of which the interested party is a part or pre-contractual measures undertaken at his request (e.g. make the donations requested or store a CV received), or based on the prior consent, which must be free, specific, informed and unequivocal (e.g. the consensus requested to send our Newsletter). In addition to consent, we may also process personal data for the pursuit of our legitimate interest, provided that the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the interested party do not prevail. These include, for example, those necessary for sending our newsletter to Donors.


When and how can we contact you?




We may send our Newsletter with your consent or depending on our legitimate interest. You can stop receiving it anytime by simply contacting us or clicking on the “Opt-out” button found in the Newsletter. Should the sending frequency be less than six months, you will receive a verifying notification asking whether you wish to opt-out.


Service messages


Cosmi may contact you in case of important communications concerning the Services and their use.


For example, we may send a communication (via one of our available channels) if a specific Service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, for replies to queries or emails, send reminders or notices on the website use.


You cannot opt-out to these service messages.




How long do we keep the information?


We may keep your information as long as deemed necessary for the supply of our Services.


We may retain Personal Information also after the termination of any particular service as long as reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes concerning our Users, prevent fraud and abuses, fulfil existing contracts and/or safeguard our legitimate interests.


Your rights and how to contact us


We remind you that you have the right to obtain from Cosmi, in the provided cases, the access to your personal data, their amendment or deletion, the limitation of the processing that concerns you or to oppose to the processing (art. 15 and ss of the Regulation).

Right to complain


Those who claim that their personal data is processed in violation of the Regulation have the right to complain to the Guarantor, as required by art. 77 of the Regulation, or refer to the relevant judicial offices (art. 79 of the Regulation).
